durban to johannesburg ZULULAND and MOÇAMBIQUE TOUR

   6 Days/5 Nights

Taking in the very best of Zululand, including a boat cruise on the St Lucia estuary and a full day visit to the Umfolozi/Hluhluwe Game Reserve, early morning bush walks and dinners served in the bush beneath African skies. Then into Moçambique and a trip through rural villages in a 4X4 to our luxury private lodge set in pristine dune forests with commanding views of the beach below. Enjoy breakfast on the deck whilst watching the wild dolphins before perhaps spending your time around the pool, walking on the beach or shopping for souvenirs and enjoying a cold beer with the locals in the village.

Includes 3 nights camping and 2 nights in a luxury lodge or alternatively all 5 nights in accommodation, as per pricing schedule.

Day 1: Depart Durban and travel along the east coast to St Lucia for lunch and an estuary boat cruise in search of hippo and crocs. Then onto our overnight camp in a private game reserve in Zululand. (L, D)

Day 2: Spend the day tracking the Big 5 in the Umfolozi/Hluhluwe Game Reserve. (B, L, D)

Day 3: After an early morning bush walk and breakfast, spend the morning tanning around the pool, bird watching and soaking up the unique bush atmosphere. After lunch, we visit a tradition working Zulu village and experience this unique culture before returning to camp for sundowners and dinner. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Break camp and travel to the Mocambique border and board 4X4 vehicles for transfer to our luxury lodge. Dinner on the deck rounds off a wonderful day. (B, L, D)

Day 5: After breakfast overlooking the beach and the wild dolphins, take a walk on the beach, tan around the pool or perhaps visit the village to shop for souvenirs and enjoy a beer with the locals. Diving, fishing and snorkeling with the dolphins can be arranged with a local operator for those who are interested, at additional cost. (B, L, D)

Day 6: An early breakfast followed by a 4X4 transfer to the border, then back into South Africa for our return trip to Durban, stopping at a craft village along the way to purchase those last-minute souvenirs (B, L)
