BIG
5 TRACKER
(including
Zululand, Kruger National Park & Swaziland)
6 Day/5 Night
This tour leaves from Durban and spends a night
in a private game reserve in Zululand on the way to
the Kruger Park, and a night in a game reserve in
Swaziland on the return journey.
Traveling through Swaziland, we spend 4 days in the
Kruger National Park in the full-time presence of a
qualified tour guide, experiencing the very best of
what has made the Kruger National Park world famous.
Including 2 full game drives each day, enjoy the
thrill of early morning coffee before setting off to
track the Big 7, breakfasts in the bush, falling
asleep to the distant roar of lion, and everything
else that makes a visit to this incredible place so
special.

Day/9 Night
As per the 6 day tour but
spending 7 full nights in the Kruger National
Park. For many visitors to the Kruger Park and
it's 2 million hectares of un-spoilt nature, these
extra few days not only allow for greater game
viewing and photographic opportunities but, far
more importantly, they allow the soul to become as
one with the wilderness and for a full
de-stressing of both body and mind. On this
extended trip, we visit a number of different
camps and get a far more thorough Kruger
experience. This really is a fantastic trip and,
not surprisingly, is one of our most popular
tours. As with all of our tours, there is the
option to either camp or to stay in fixed
accommodation.
Day 1: Depart Durban and travel along
the East Coast to our overnight camp in a private
game reserve in Zululand. (L, D)
Day 2:
Travel to the Swaziland border
post and continue northwards through Swaziland
before exiting back into South Africa and entering
the Kruger National Park and our overnight camp.
(B, L, D)
Day 3/4/5/6/7/8:Tour the Kruger National
Park, staying at various camps during our stay.
The tour moves camps as-and-when appropriate,
depending on the species that we are tracking for
our clients. Days start at 4.30am with coffee,
rusks, cereal and fruit. Set off on game drive at
5.00am and either enjoy brunch at a picnic site in
the bush or return to camp by mid to late morning
to eat. Spend the midday hours when the weather is
at its hottest in the camp, lying in the shade or
around the swimming pool tanning, reading or bird
watching. At around 3pm, as the weather starts to
cool and the animals become more active, we go out
on an afternoon game drive and return to camp by
6pm, for sun-downers and dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 5/9: Break camp and enter Swaziland
and reach our camp by midday. That afternoon, we
have a real treat when we track rhino on foot with
a specialist ranger. (B,
L, D)
Day 6/10: Return to Durban, stopping at
an African craft market along the way for any last
souvenirs, before arriving back in Durban in the
afternoon where the tour ends. (B, L)
